Short-term continuity
Recent context, for a limited time.
Session continuity is designed for the conversation you are actively having, not for building a permanent profile. Stored session text is protected, kept only for a limited period and can be cleared by closing the session or turning session history off. Certifiedge may keep a small technical record for security and reliability, but that record is designed not to become a second readable copy of what you said.
Longer-term memory
Nothing becomes long-term memory from a guess.
Longer-term memory is for useful preferences, learning goals and working context that you deliberately choose to carry forward. Certifiedge does not silently turn AI suggestions or guesses into saved memory, and a memory can be removed whenever it is no longer useful. Highly sensitive personal information and account secrets are not suitable for this memory space.
Bounded assistance
Remembering does not create authority.
Memory can help an assistant avoid repetition and keep your chosen context in view, but it does not become evidence, assessment truth, mastery, readiness or a credential. Certifiedge still uses the appropriate records and accountable human review for important decisions. Turning memory on does not give Certifiedge permission to send messages, change outside services or act in other apps. Any future action like that must have its own clear permission and safety checks.
