The institution typically determines educational purposes for its enrolled learners/staff, while Certifiedge processes institution-directed records under contract and separately controls its own security, billing, support and compliance processing.
Institution responsibilities
Institutions must have authority for uploaded rosters/data, maintain accurate relationships, limit administrator roles and provide required notices/consents.
Certifiedge controls
Tenant boundaries, role capabilities, audit events and governed exports are used to limit access. Cross-tenant leakage is a release blocker.
Children
Institution use involving children must follow child-specific consent/authority, best-interest, safeguarding and minimization requirements.
Offboarding
Contract termination/offboarding must define export, retention, deletion/anonymization and legal-hold handling rather than relying on account deletion alone.
