Protocol before collection
Research must define purpose, participants, data, risk, lawful basis/consent, retention, publication and responsible owner before collection.
Voluntary participation
Participation should be voluntary unless another clearly documented lawful context applies. Refusal should not remove unrelated core service access.
Vulnerable participants
Research involving children or vulnerable people requires heightened necessity, consent/authority and safeguarding review.
Publication
Results are de-identified by default unless explicit attribution is authorized. Methodology and limitations accompany substantive public findings.
AI and secondary use
AI analysis or secondary reuse must stay within the protocol and access controls; model convenience does not create a new research purpose.
