A parent/guardian link must be established through the governed invitation/acceptance process; access is not granted solely because someone knows a child’s name or email.
Visibility is bounded
Family access is limited to authorized summary areas. It does not automatically open private learner spaces, raw submissions, teacher notes or institution records.
Permissions and changes
Where the platform provides permission controls, they can be changed or revoked subject to safeguarding and institutional duties.
Child interests
Parental access is implemented with the child’s best interests, age and context in mind. It is not a license for unnecessary surveillance.
Requests
Export, correction or erasure requests involving child data may require authority verification and can be limited where retention is required for safeguarding, legal duties or record integrity.
