Verification Policy

Verification Policy

This policy explains how verification IDs and record statuses should be interpreted across certificates, Proof Passport entries and Royalty status records.

What can be verified

  • certificate IDs
  • Proof Passport entries
  • Royalty status records
  • record status and date metadata

Verification ID

Each verification lookup should rely on a unique ID tied to a status record. IDs should be used for status checks, not for extracting private evidence.

Verification statuses

Verified Sample Demo Not Found Expired Suspended Revoked Renewal Required Under Review

What verification means

Verification confirms record status inside Certifiedge based on available platform data and review history.

What verification does not mean

Verification does not guarantee employment, income, permanent competence or suitability for every role.

Sample records must be marked clearly and should never be presented as live credentials.

Expired, suspended and revoked records

Records may move out of active status when renewal is due, evidence issues appear or conduct concerns require review.

Employer use

Employers should use verification as one signal in a broader decision process that includes interviews, supervision plans and role-fit checks.

Privacy limits

Verification confirms status but should not expose private artifacts unless a learner has explicitly shared them.

Appeals and corrections

If a verification record appears incorrect, users should request a correction review with supporting details. Status updates should be logged and traceable.

Fraud reporting

Suspected fake IDs, impersonation or falsified evidence should be reported for investigation. Records may be marked under review during checks.
